The built-in scrub operation in TrueNAS turned a nightmare into a manageable fix. Unlike traditional file systems, TrueNAS gave Omar detailed insights into exactly which files had been affected. The system’s structure and clarity meant he didn’t panic—he simply restored and moved forward.
“It wasn’t panic. It was just: fix the hardware, restore the corrupted files, scrub, and go.”

The Build: Expanding Projects with Confidence
Reinvigorated by the resilience TrueNAS provided, Omar continued to scale his personal projects. From media servers to containerized utilities, he’s built a digital ecosystem powered by TrueNAS that spans multiple countries.
While he occasionally wishes Kubernetes would return, he remains highly satisfied with the current Docker implementation. The system’s constant evolution keeps him engaged and optimistic about the future.
