Obviously, this plugin needs maintenance.

It isn't like there's been a pull request outstanding for over three months that completely resolves this issue or anything...

The latter is particularly worrisome.

It really shouldn't be--are you planning to use emoji in filenames?

I'm glad it will be fixed someday. Those future people who use this plugin without trouble will be so happy.
