I've never seen anyone use hot-glue instead of push-pins to mount a fan....until now.

Paired with a Fractal Node 804 micro-ATX chassis...

I wish this was all in one thread, because I have the feeling this is like watching a new driver who somehow got hold of a supercar and is about to dump all their data all over the freeway.

Its epoxy actually, hot glue probably wouldn't do well with the heat this thing puts out

Allow me a facepalm.
I didn't feel like having to find pins that would work and/or drilling holes in the heatsink to use screws.

Unfortunately the thing needs WAY more airflow that that little fan can do

I could not find a place to buy super duper cooler for a raid card
Oh it was for the HBA (NOT raid card!)? I thought we were about the CPU cooler.

What are your case temps?

It seems like not much room and "not great airflow" in a Fractal Node 804 case. Have you stuck a few temperature probes in to see where the hot-spots are and what your cooling is like? (What I linked is "cheap and dirty," but I do mean for the post to be constructive, and they get the job done on the cheap.)
