Hello,

I randomly keep receiving the error: "You must configure a default route (Network->IPv4 Default Gateway)" when I try to enter my Jails menu.

The way I can get around this error is to go to Network->Global Configuration, and just click "Save" without making any changes as I already have the IPv4 Default Gateway set. After clicking "Save" I can enter the Jail section.

This seems to happen randomly at a minimum of once a day. I'm sure it's something that I messed up in the configuration, can anyone think of what might solve this issue?

Details:
  • FreeNAS-11.0-U2 (e417d8aa5)
  • Default Gateway (192.168.1.254)
  • FreeNAS IP (192.168.1.100) - em0 192.168.1.100/24 - nameserver 192.168.1.254
  • Jail IP address (192.168.1.102)

Thank you!

How is your jail IP setup? Is it static or DHCP? I suspect it's DHCP. I would recommend you setup the jail IP to a static address outside the DHCP range and see if this fixes your issue.

It's actually set static to 192.168.1.102. I will give it a shot at putting it outside the DHCP scope. I'll report back with success or failure - Thanks!

I assume you have a gateway setup in the jail too?
