Tried latest nightly build - 8R7570 on AMD 64 - no luck connecting to our APC UPS via SNMP - any clues/recommendations on parameters?

Andrew

UPDATE - its seems that you need to change/correct all parameters and then restart service to have any impact - the IP address of the SNMP card gets overridden by "/dev/cuau0" on any correction so you need to re-enter all parameters every time otherwise NUT fails

UPDATE 2 - Problem in the MIB???

Has this thread moved?

The UPS discussions are spread out a bit...

oh and Joe... da mouse  ....wassit it for ?

"I found out which port my UPS was on by plugging in an old USB mouse." :p

CB

ps - I posted elsewhere that under 8.0.2 the ups IDENTIFIER field only works as 'ups'

Hey CB, haven't seen you posting in a while. Guess Hell's waiting room is cooling down a little. The ant? It's because you already took the cool shark.

Mice have other uses in BSD...

lol not your ant... that's still the coolest.... I was finally rebutting your comment about the fact I had listed an MS-mouse on my machine spec.... and then while catching up on posts I remembered why the damn mouse was plugged in in the first place : To id which USB port my UPS was on way back at the beginning days of this thread(or one of the UPS not working threads).

I had accident and was in hospital for a while... surgery... been learning to walk again past few weeks now.

If I could just get the damn docs to remove my head then I wouldn't have to suffer this f!@#%ng neck pain....

But, I am back... say hello to my son snatchcrash (lives in tampa)... have been trying to play catch up since right when 8.0.1 released...

How have you been? Did you visit us here in 'god's waiting room' ?

good to talk to / hear from you man.
