Looking at the release schedule, RC1 is planned for late Oktober.

Release in late October.... its why it's called 23.10

With this version, the hard disks regularly make these park position noises, even though they are set to continuous operation. With 22.12 this is not the case. Does anyone else have these problems?

Don't recall hearing anybody else mention that yet. Have you filed a ticket with a debug? We may need to look in more depth, see if there is some new powersave setting that is being enabled, might even be hardware specific.

Briefly tried latest Nightly but forgot it screwed the Truecharts apps.
So reverted back and had to fix all apps manually

The ticket is already closed...

Hi but this is an actionable ticket for us. We can't "hear" your disks going into the park position. Furthermore, "hearing" something isn't a very good way to determine if they're actually being spun down. There isn't anything we can do here.
