is there anyway to manually add the features from the TPB and tolstyak edition of sickbeard into this version we are using now? and is there a guide on what and how to change things?

Assuming there's a relevant github project for what you want, you can follow steps similar to this. That's specifically for changing the repository for LazyLibrarian, but the same approach will work for any of these. Just change the github download and file location as appropriate.

I recently re-built my jail system after upgrading to the p2 release. Since doing so, i cannot get couchpotato to update properly. When asked to manually updated it replies there are no new updates to be found, but this is clearly not the case. Before upgrading to the p2 release I was able to do this fine, it is only now after this that I'm having any trouble. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Log shows only the following

[hpotato.core.plugins.base] Opening url: https://api.github.com/repos/RuudBurger/CouchPotatoServer/commits?per_page=1&sha=master, params: []

Guidance appreciated
can you ping that domain from your jail?

Bump and yes, i able able to ping git from within the jail

im sorry im kind of new to freenas and anything outside of windows, what i am aiming to do here is add the features of

https://github.com/mr-orange/Sick-Beard for thepiratebay

and

https://github.com/Tolstyak/Sick-Beard/ for failed download handling

i tried the guide that you linked me to but i cannot find the tarball file in either github.

"edit"

okay nm i got thepiratebay version working now but how would i add the failed download handling from tolstyaks version now?

Re: Headphone not found the artist

Sorry about that Pirateghost, didn't mean for that to happen. If the OP's had posted in the correct thread that wouldn't have happened. You can edit your reply and quote the post you were answering.
LOL. no worries. It happens over on xda all the time...

You wouldn't need to merge the features in, but this isn't trivial and you would essentially be maintaining your own fork. I hope the 'failed' get merged into thepiratebay branch, so we can just stick to that and get the best of both worlds.

I am in the same boat. I updated to P2 and have the same issue now.

Looks like its a certificate chain error in the jail. I am able to manually download the tarball using wget --no-check-certificate however the CP updater doesnt seem to use that method to download.
I am not sure how to get the certificate CA for github added back to the bundle in the jail as it seems digicert.com is no longer there...

Hey guys I'm having some errors with sickbeard, generally to do with metadata and the tvdb, this has been ongoing for a while but I'm finally getting round to fixing stuff on my NAS. Bare with me as I'm not super good with FreeNAS (managed to set everything up etc, but I have little experience with *nix commands etc)

on the surface this issue does not seem to be related to FreeNAS. I would confirm that you can access thetvdb.com from within your plugin jail and then post this question in SickBeard's forums. If you can't access thetvdb.com from your jail then that's your problem. resolve it and everything should work fine.

Looks like it might not be permissions. So something else is screwed up. You could backup you data folders and reinstall and check if a fresh plugin install works.

Hey Everyone!

I came out of the woodwork to +1 this issue. I am experiencing the same thing with my SABNZBD installation and haven't been able to find a fix. Here is a brief breakdown.

Issue
1. Two fields (noticed so far) in the Folders section refuse to save
- Temporary Download Folder
- Post-Processing Scripts Folder

Notes:
- All other fields in other sections appear to save fine
- These worked fine until I ended up deleting the volume this jail was saved on assuming everything would reinstall the same way

Attempted solutions:
1. chmod the permissions on the config.ini file/folder to 777 (I don't believe this has anything to do with permissions)
2. Manually edit config.ini settings (This is how I eventually got the other line items to save but the two mentioned above still refuse to do anything)
3. Delete Jail/Dataset/Volume with the same thing returning

If anyone could help me figure this out, I would be enormously grateful! Thank you!

Edit: Forgot to mention this is on FreeNas 8.3.1 and plugin version 1.1

I'm trying to blow out my Jail and reinstall on 8.3.1 p2 but when I try to delete my old jail and plugin folders I get an error:

Code:
[root@nibbler] /mnt/Vol1# rm -rf ./Jail/
rm: ./Jail/: Device busy

Any ideas?

Figured it out, I'm so dumb sometimes. I ran umount -f ./Jail/ and then I could delete it.

I have this posted in "Sharing" but I am really confused now.

so all I want is for Sickbeard to post process my TV shows and store them in the "TV" directory on my Western digital TV Live Hub.

So I have FreeNas setup and it is working fine (CIFS share) can access it, can write to it, can delete from it).

I have sickbeard setup and it is looking for TVShows and sends them to SAB and SAB downloads them. (So far so good :))

now when sab is done, it puts it in the TVShows folder (just like the tutorial showed us how to do with the mount points / etc. (forgive me I am new)

now I want Sickbeard to grab the downloaded show post process it and store it in WDTV Live Hub.

so in order to do this, I had to mount a drive (i think that is what it is called).

mount_smbfs -W //WDTVLiveHub/WDTVLiveHub /mnt/CIFS_Shares (Where I created the CIFS_Shares) then did a chmod 777 /mnt/CIFS_Shares

so now when I post process (manually or automatically), I get:

2013-05-28 12:39:48.120089 POSTPROCESSER :: Unable to move file /TVShows/Hannibal.S01E09.HDTV.x264-LOL/hannibal.109.hdtv-lol.mp4 to /WDTVLiveHUB/tv/Hannibal/Season 01/Hannibal - S01E09 - Trou Normand.mp4: 13

Any thoughts??

your problem is not related to these plugins. You might want to check if you can write to that samba share with your jail's 'media' user.

I managed to work around this. For future reference anyone who is having trouble, you can simply mount the default SABNZBD temporary download folder to whatever your desired download folder should be. The Post-Processing scripts took a little fiddling but eventually I managed to manually update this in the config file and have it permutate into the SABNZBD settings. Currently got everything working hunky-dory with auto-processing. Thanks for the plugins Joshua! Will see what I can do about a coke or two (don't drink myself :))

So you did all of this within SABNZBD and did nothing with a mount_smbfs (blah, blah, blah).

Also . . . What does your config file look like?

Thanks for the help.

More tinkering and I am definitely in a better place for post processing and Believe that it is solely a permissions issue between the freenas and WDTVLive hub.

here is the log now:

So the question is . . . . what did I do wrong on the mount or is it just NOT possible?

I want to know how to mount a drive to my WDTVLiveHub and give / assign permissions.

Everything works except for the post processing outside of the jail or Freenas cifs share. If I post process within the Jail or the FreenasCifs share everything works fine. It is only when I try to go to the WDTVLive hub (which of couse is where I need it).

From Windows 7 PC . . . \\192.168.x.x and my WDTVLiveHub share shows up. I can add folders / Delete Folders / Modify folders.

If I try to go to the WDTVLiveHub mount within freenas . . . "The request is not supported".

FreeNAS is not windows it is Unix (FreeBSD)... A windows share i.e. \\WDTVLiveHub\* would have to be mounted to a folder before you can use it. I have not tried this code I just did a quick Google search for it. You need to test this and you will have to do your own research if it doesn't work.

All of these commands have to be performed inside your jail.

Create the folder to mount
Code:
mkdir /mnt/WDTV

Mount the folder
Code:
mount_smbfs //[USERNAME]@WDTVLiveHub/WDTVLiveHub/TV /mnt/WDTV

Test by listing the files in the mounted folder.
Code:
ls /mnt/WDTV

you may also want to make sure that you can copy and delete files.

now change your config to the mount folder
Code:
Completed Download Folder: /mnt/WDTV

You will lose the mount on reboot. your on your own for automating the mount on bootup.

Sorry man, haven't done anything with the mount_smbfs. The whole reason i put together this build was to not have to use my windows folders for anything.

If you mean the SAB config file, mostly I just had to manually update my download paths and the exiting file permissions. Other than that, its going to contain most of the defaults.
/Downloads/Incomplete -> Mount point to mnt/[VolA]/SABNZBD/Incomplete
/SABNZBD/Complete -> mount point to mnt/[VolA]/SABNZBD/Complete
/SABNZBD/Watch -> mount point to mnt/[VolA]/SABNZBD/Watch

Based on your posts already you have gotten a piece of this figured out so I doubt this is going to be helpful, but let it never be said that RainDess never helped a brother in need!

Guys, just a dumb question ...

To update my SAB I do this procedure...
1)open shell
2) jexec 1 csh
3) cd usr/pbi/sabnzbd-amd64
4) ./sabnzbd-update.sh

Well... my question is for SICK, COUCH and HEAD theres something like that or just "press the button" update and its done ?!?!?!

Thanks !!
