removed guide, as Xenforo sux monkeyballs. Might post it elsewhere.

Please do (and let us know where), having read the guide it looked really helpfull and I had it bookmarked to use in the next few weeks after I have built and configured my new FreeNAS server.

Don't count on the media user's UID being 4001 though. that is beacuse of the way I create the user, and it could be 400X depending if you make more jail users. The correct way to create a user is to have it use a static UID, which I'll hopefully be able to implement when I rebase these plugins off ports.
It's specifically 40001 not 4001. That range, 40000-49999, was randomly chosen. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to move it to 9000-9999, 10000-10999 or make it something much higher. Still it's not likely to be an issue except for some custom AD or LDAP environments. In which case they can just edit the jail pw.conf file first.

Sounds like one of your downloaders is not setup properly or not working. See here: http://bit.ly/1374VNk
Thanks for the helpful link, I never thought of that! But anyway, I still can't seem to find a solution. I've tried everything from restarting, other ip's and hostnames, enabling/disabling authentication, disable torrents, etc etc. Nothing works. Couchpotato keeps giving me the "Tried to download, but none of the downloaders are enabled" error and Sickbeard and Headphones just do nothing. Sickbeard does connect with SABNZBD (Test connection = success) but it doesn't download anything. It says "Backlog was automatically started for *" and then nothing happens. I can't find anything in the logs so far. Same goes for Headphones. I don't know where to look anymore, so any help would be appreciated.

[EDIT] I also updated all the programs to their latest version. No difference. And by thye way: is it just me or does Couchpotato lack an option for Sabnzbd authentication?

I use couchpotato and my sabnzbd has authentication. I believe it uses the sabnzbd API so it doesn't need to store your password in plain text

Are you supporting the new freenas 9.1?

Yeah, definitely will. I don't think the ones built for 8.3 will work though...

I just have been busy and haven't started working on these yet. Been in the process of buying a house so hopefully everything will be settled down in a month and I can get to work on busting these out.

Plex finally released a FreeBSD version built on 9.1 so I want these bad :) Has anyone tried running them in 9.1?

Would you make a Plex PBI?

No, and this isn't the thread to discuss this.

Looks like 9.1 RC2 does just that with the three official plugins. In fact the jails no longer come with a pw.conf. Not sure if it was simply considered to be outdated or if that part was an oversight. Hmm, goes to create a couple of users in a few jails.

Now that Master Gollom was able to make pbi's for 9.1, I would like to delete Joshua's old version. For most of them, that went pretty easily. But for some reason, I am unable to delete couchpotato, because it still shows up in the list of plugins, but has no jail attached to it. SO when I click delete, this is what I get:

Just installed SABnzbd using the inbuilt plugin. Just wondering where the config.ini file is located now as I can't find it in the jail dataset so I can use my old settings?

Thanks

Hi Folks,

I´m new to FreeNAS and i love this system. I managed to install SAB and SB in one jail on FreeNAS 9.11. I used the FreeNAS plugin manager to auto install SAB. Then I installed SB in the same jail using this source http://www.appcafe.org/freenas/.

Now I recognized that this SB version dosen't support german downloads. I found a version by cytec supporting german downloads: https://github.com/cytec/Sick-Beard

How can I get this version running on my FreeNAS system?

Any help appreciated.

Hi Joglo,

All you need to do is: get that german sickbeard, and what's inside copy to the same subdirectory of freenas sickbeard in jail. (make sure to overwrite)
stop the jail then run the jail, and should be done. (that's how i did for the dutch one, and it works, but i use seperate jails)
