First:

Since vBSDCon is like 5 miles away from your house, can I assume you're going? I will be giving a talk.

Nope, vBSDCon is not my thing, maybe if this were 30 years ago but these days not really. 5 miles away, I wish it could be that fast of a drive. It's about 2 hours away on a good day like 5AM, longer as the day continues. I too would be interested in your presentation, after you have presented it of course.

I appreciate the response, your opinion is valued. I only like buying nice cases that stand the test of time and while I have a few of those cases now, I'd like to build a new system and put it into a new case. Sometimes it just feel right to buy a new case.

Just chiming in. I ordered my system about a month ago and went with the R5/x11ssm-f. It's been running for a week now to test things and I can confirm this case is awesome. I left the top vents closed up and added a 140mm fan to the front. Everything is cool and surprisingly quiet. (I build supermicros to put in racks at work.)
