Timemachine - The backup disk image .. already in use

Hi Guys,

Im new to the forum but unfortunately with a problem!

I've had a search and a good google which seems to offer help for other platforms but i can't find anything relating to freenas.

I have Freenas 11 and im using AFP to create a TM share

I have managed to create 1x backup no problem so the share and it's permissions are not the issue.

The problem is creating a 2nd backup from the same machine, or once the Mac goes to sleep.

I get the following error when trying to make another backup

"Backup has failed.
The backup disk image "/Volumes/Data/Name.sparsebundle" is already in use."

It would appear as if freenas isn't disconnecting the user after a period of activity or something other? Does anybody have any suggestions or have had this problem themselves?

Hi there,

Unintentionally yes, my macbook had an issue with touchID so it went into apple for a repair. They replaced some components and re-installed OSX. After this it's working every time. So i don't think it was freenas related, perhaps some weirdness in my machine.
