Hi
I have an AFP share on a dedicated ZFS dataset. To avoid possible loses due to corrupt backups (TimeMachine must create a new backup...) I am doing periodically ZFS snapshots which are automatically deleted after a few days.
The TimeMachine dataset has a reserved space of 300G and a quota of 300G.
When the TimeMachine is starting an incremental backup it displays eg. "130GB of 258GB available", the backup size is typically around 1GB. But after the backup it says "21GB of 268GB available".
The problem is that TimeMachine often deletes old backups although there seems to be enough space on the volume.
Any idea what is going on here ?
