Followed a similar guide to this to free up space as I thought it would be an issue, apparently I deleted everything. Went to reboot and got this error. This morning, with a clearer head, I plugged in a 2nd Ethernet cord to my board / logged into the server quick enough to stop the vm from loading. (I wasn't able to access anything once the VM loaded)

Is this an easy fix or is my VM screwed?

I would think that your VM is a gonner if this is true. It's a tuff way to learn but it does work to prepare you for the next error you make.

Because you really don't know what you did, I'd recommend you delete the VM and start over, otherwise you will never really know how stable of a system you have and it could just cause nothing but problems for you down the road.
