Hi All,

I have a supermicro X9SCM-F-O showing the following critical Sensor reading.

As I don't really have a clue here! Any pointers would be appreciated.
Do I need to build a nuclear shelter in case it blows?

Thanks

Bill

I don't own that specific mobo, but mine has the same high and low limits set.
Your reading states 1.87volts.
Mine states -12.098 and status ok (from command line)
I don't think your reading is very good, but frankly, you should wait for more opinions from others.

1.87V? Ouch, that is very bad.

So, either the motherboard's reading is waaaaaaaay off or the PSU is waaaaaaaay out of spec. Dangerously so. Fortunately, the -12V rail is mostly unused. Probably the only thing that uses it are the RS-232 ports.

You'll definitely want to check that voltage with a multimeter. You might need to hack together a cable to place between the PSU's ATX plug and the motherboard's power socket to be able to read the -12V with the system running, as only the ATX cable has a -12V line.

Nuclear shelters are optional, but don't try to use any RS-232 connections until this is sorted out.
