The purpose of this thread will be to share pricing information to the forum membership at large. Some of us did this late last year (2017) and it was helpful to the forum membership to find good deal.

I have been publishing the Resource Guide for disk drives at https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?resources/disk-price-performance-analysis-buying-information.62/ and am always keeping an eye out for good deals. It just seems logical to share when a good drive goes on sale to help your fellow NAS'er, rather than keep it to myself.

So share good prices on CPU's, ECC memory, NAS drives, SDD drives, server mother boards, IO controller cards, NIC's, IO Cages, etc.

Try to keep the comments limited, but just pointers to good deals!

Some simple rules:

-> No Shilling, unless it is a really good deal
-> Provide simple description in ASCII
-> Provide price in ASCII
-> Provide expiration date in ASCII
-> Provide URL to item in ASCII
-> Optional comment in ASCII
-> Posting picture screen/regin grab of item/pricing is fine, when posted with the above

End goal is to share good deals to forum membership!

Example (It's actually REAL):

Description: WD Red 10TB NAS 3.5" 5400 RPM disk drive
Price: $279.99
Expires: 8/31/2018 11:59 PM PST
URL: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16822231546
Comment: This price is around $20-$30 cheaper than normal.

Moved to off-topic, as that is the customary place for this sort of thread.

120GB SSDs are dropping in price quite nicely and great as a boot drive for FreeNAS.

Here is a pair of ADATA SSDs for a cost of $49.89
Here is a Mushkin for $26.99

Search the market on 120GB SSD and you will find quite a few for under $30.00 and all you need really is one for that boot drive, my personal preference is not to mirror these. Boy, I wish SSDs were this cheap when I bought mine many years ago.
