Have you rebooted since you re-added it? Mainly to see if it sticks through reboots? As mine doesn't seem to like to do so.

I rebooted just for you! Seems to be fine and persistent through reboots for me.

Did you also double verify this by going into the storage section? Not just the dashboard? Because I too thought that it was persistent after a few tries. But the dashboard was somewhat lying to me. But the storage section showed it as a '?'

NAS-124808. I'm guessing that it is somewhat similar happening as to the post where a Spare goes missing. And I'm going to be starting to verify this shortly

But maybe create a separate one for the apps disappearing? (sucks that it happened too. But silver lining is that better now, rather than further down the line when things are harder to diagnose. And configurations aren't just as freshly in your mind)

I've got the manual snapshots after reconfiguring last time. I'll change application pool for the time being to a unencrypted pool and copy the ix-applications folder to there.

Well, aparently they had another Jira. But that one is restricted, and I'm unable to even look at it. So at least we know they're working on it. new main jira

Thats mine (124782) I put it in a low priority as I assumed the L2ARC (metadata only) was working and this was just a display bug. Its now been raised to high priority (by IX) - so I may be wrong.

I updated (from my sig) HairyNAS and have left NewNAS on Bluefin as its a lot more complex with a lot more disks doing different things.

I wonder why @probain can't read that ticket - nothing I have done deliberately. Unlike some of the other posters here I had no issue with the apps - all fo which started just fine. 2 use PVC's and 1 uses hostpath for its / their configs

I think apps somehow get problematic with encrypted pools.
At least everyone I've seen affected had a very similar pool encryption configuration.

You guys are scaring me. I'm on 22.12.2 and really could use the nvidia drivers that Cobia comes with, but am scared of all my apps breaking now. I just use a few Truecharts and Official apps like Plex and a few VM's. If I hit that update button, what is the % chance all my **** takes a **** on me?

I did the Cobia upgrade today and all 3 of my apps are derped and my Home Assistant VM won't start.

Apart from that it.............SMB seems to work fine........

What 3 apps did you use (and were they Truecharts)? Will they not start or what went wrong with them?

You can always take one look at the apps mess (if there is one) and go back to the previous bluefin version.

Backup everything before you do. There is migration with how the application datasets are configured/used that breaks, if you choose to roll back via not environments.

Well, I am seeing some scary reports of this not actually being possible because of the removal of Docker, see this: https://ixsystems.atlassian.net/browse/NAS-124776

There, people report not seeing any apps after upgrading to Cobia, but when booting back in Bluefin, apps are all still gone? So basically a nightmare
