What are you trying to do? TrueNas is not a distro, it's an appliance: you cannot use apt and likes.

The only way to update is by the GUI.

Do not do this. It is unsupported and will break your system sooner or later. And definitely don't come asking for support after intentionally mangling your system.

what is best way to install infiniband network driver? i install 23.10 for debian 12.3 with offical driver, but after reboot system will show failed to load default.target, i am not able to boot the system, so have to use old mstflint driver instead, i am using cx5 vpi card

You do not, that is unsupported. If you feel you need a driver that is currently unavailable, please file a ticket and the devs may consider it. In the specific case of infiniband, I would not hold my breath, given that the only party interested in really pushing infiniband is Nvidia.

For what purpose? As far as I can tell, there is a very narrow set of scenarios where RDMA can actually be used, and TrueNAS doesn't seem to support any of them (Samba does not support RDMA at this time, NFS requires custom "value-adds" from Nvidia, ...).
