Hello everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. I’m having some trouble with TrueNAS Scale install & upgrade. Could anyone assist with this? When I do a fresh install or an upgrade from core, it will do this and nothing I do will work. TrueNAS Core works, but I need to be able to utilize the linux features and Docker.

It wont move past "amdgpu: Topology: Add CPU node". It will sit there and then reboot after several minutes and repeat.

PC Specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
RAM - 32GB Corsair 3200MHz DDR4
Main Drive (OS) - 1TB Samsung EVO 980 PCIE NVME M.2
Graphics Card - RTX 2060
Hard Drives to use in TrueNAS - 12TB IronWolf 7200RPM NAS Drives X4

So weird thing happens now as well. When TrueNAS Scale is stuck on that section, I'm still able to log into it via the browser. Is there something I need to do in the browser to make this boot properly?

Something strange as well I just found out, while it is stuck at the "AMDGPU: Topology: Add CPU node" I'm able to get to the TrueNAS via the browser and can see it in my unifi OS as connected. Is there something I can do via the browser to make this go through its proper steps and display the IP Address?

Hello community,

I'm stuck with the same problem exactly at the line "AMDGPU: Topology: Add CPU node".

My computer specs are:
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
  • RAM: 4x Kingston 16GB DDR4-2666MHz ECC Module KTH-PL426E/16G
  • Main Drive: Samsung 980 PRO MZ-V8P2T0BW (2To)
  • Hard Drives: 4x 6TB IronWolf 7200RPM NAS Drives
  • Graphic card: MSI RX 6600 Mech 2X 8G 912-V502-039
Would you have any idea of what could cause that it's stucked at that phase ?

I've tried with the nightly version of 04/02 and the problem is the same.

An installation of version 22.02.4 however does not encounter this problem.

I double checked my BIOS to make sure it was up to date, and I also took out the GPU. Something in TrueNAS Scale does not like two graphics cards, I was hoping to use the RTX 2060 as a video renderer. But unfortunately it does not like it.

Try taking out the graphics card, make sure that your motherboard is set for accepting VM Tech and see if that helps.
