Applied TrueNas 12 to 2 11.3U5 systems & both succeeded. Old AMD required manual power cycle but have seen this before. Both systems GUI needed browser cache clear, as expected. So far, performance is fine.

Just upgraded. Pools. jails, VM's etc look to be working well.
The only thing that isnt working is the reporting tab - doesn't display graphs and won't let me select anything other than the 'cpu' landing page.
Have cleared browser cache. Have also tried moving the system dataset - no change. Hopefully this is just a temporary bug.

I had the same issue. Went away when I toggled the "Collaspe" < at the top of the page. Good luck

Upgrade from 11.3u5 went fine, cleared cache and everything looks great except that Reporting seems broken, cpu reporting displays partially, but selecting any other option like disk give you a blank page, tried on chrome and firefox, tried collapse fix (above) but didn't work for me.

Looks like someone has already created a ticket - https://jira.ixsystems.com/browse/NAS-108014

Successful update through WebUI

after Reboot and logged back into GUI and main page was blank till I performed a Ctrl F5

after installing some SSD’s and booting back up received a “IPMI SEL low space left: 736 bytes (91% used)”
Managed to clear with ipmitool sel clear command

upgraded zfs feature flags successfully

attempted to add fusion pool with 2x 256gb ssd in mirror but received message “
Metadata vdev must be the same type as the data vdevs. First data vdev is a raidz, new Metadata vdev is a mirror.

I currently have 1 ssd for OS & 4x 8TB drives in raidZ and I was planning on adding 2x 256GB SSD’s in mirror for metadata

Should I force? Or should I grab another SSD to make raidZ?

Change your theme; worked for me.
I had previously cleared cache, installed new browser, used a 2nd system...rebooted freenas box...

Very odd - I had to change themes a couple of times but it did actually work under 'nord' and 'dracula' - reports still dont work on ix dark or ix blue.... but nord is good enough for me in the meantime as a work around - thanks for the tip!

EDIT - Graphing is screwy - the points are not smoothing out, making the graphs look like a saw tooth wave form...

My experience on 5 upgraded systems from 11.3U5 to 12. Same behavior in every case - on initial view from dashboard, graphs are blank. If, from any nonreports page, go to preferences & change scheme, then report graphs work. Log off then back on & same behavior repeats regardless of current scheme. True in most recent Chrome & FireFox, with or without browser cache clearing.

Quick question: Is there any aspect that can't be upgraded from 11.3U5 to 12? Meaning: is there any feature that will remain unavailable in TN12 because it is an "upgraded TN12" instead of a "fresh TN12"? For example because the pool was created under FN11...

Thanks

I don't think so.
For example pools can be upgraded too from web interface.
For me only the boot pool is not upgraded and I can't find a way to upgrade from web interface (I think that upgrade boot pool from command line is not a problem).

I also added a metadata vdev and it works (but it is used only for new / modified files).

Best Regards,
Antonio

Found another work-around for the reporting blank graph bug. From the dashboard login, select reporting (blank graphs) then services (blank) then desktop (normal) then back to reporting & graphs are populated. Seems faster than preferences drop-down, to me.
