Besides the crap RocketRaid card (did I mention it's crap? Not pure crap, but crap nonetheless), what is the rest of the hardware? And the FreeNAS version?

This is for a friend's OEM PC. It is a Acer AM3985-UR21P

i5 3450
8gb ddr3
160 sata 7200 HDD used as boot drive

I believe 9.10 it is what ever the stable version is on the main download page currently.

So, proprietary motherboard. Doesn't look good (and the system is barely semi-adequate in the first place, but that's another discussion).

Anyway, try it without the SATA card. If that doesn't work, your chances of getting this to work are minimal.

There in lies an issue. There isn't anything added in the computer. It's a case,board,cpu,ram,hdd,psu,keyboard.
