Aside from the fact that both are challenging to get, the Be Quiet seems more reachable from overseas. Both supporting ATX 3, PCIe 5, etc. Future proof power supply.
Feel safer buying the seasonic but maybe I'm just naive and the Be Quiet is well respected? Also prefer the 1200 headroom...
Hello dear forum members. I am looking for the answer to my question about the use of the M2 connector on the motherboard using a adapter.
I don’t know who to contact, therefore I am waiting for a competent opinion on this issue.
There is a motherboard ASUS PRIME J3355I-C (CELERON, mini-ITX), it...
Hi,
I got a Supermicro X9SCM-F motherboard, which is mainly used for virtualization and storage. I know that people use a lot of Supermicro boards in their builds here, so I thought it will probably not hurt to ask some questions, and maybe I should be careful to not run into any potential...
Hello folks, i recently got my hands on an
Supermicro Mainboard X10SDV-4C-TLN2F
as my new Freenas box. In the near future i plan to get a IBM M1015 to flash it and extend my usable sataports.

I had some difficulty adding USB3 ports (I backup to an external RAID enclosure from ORICO) to the FreeNAS mini I bought a few years back (built on the Ablecom CS-M50 chassis with the ASRock C2750D4I mobo).
The clearance above the card slot is VERY tight as the corner of the drive cage hangs...
I'm setting up a temporary 2nd server to troubleshoot my primary NAS :p  . To do this I've kicked the system SSD and VGA card out of a spare Hyper-V server (it's the only other Supermicro/Xeon/ECC platform that I can easily free up for a few days). The server is ideal for FreeNAS -...
Hello,
I've picked up a TS140 and I'd like to use the fastest possible storage for bhyeve/jails. I know I can use a standard SSD on SATA, but I'm trying to find out if I can use:
Samsung 960 EVO Series - PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD
with a
Mailiya M.2 PCIe to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter
I've been...
I'm starting to plan a new system and would appreciate some recommendations on selecting device(s) for the boot drive. If I did not want to boot from a USB stick or get an SSD that uses up a SATA port, it seems that the most likely option is a PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. Most of those are M.2 connector...
Hi, I want to build a new NAS with Micron P420m SSDs based in PCIe to use with L2ARC and SLOG but I do not found any information about compatibility with these units.
If someone has any type of info about them it would be a great help.
