Hey guys,
sorry for this very stupid question but i cant seem to figure it out.

I am trying to install .6 on an A1SAi but for some reason the USB stick(s) I am using are not seen by the installation process.
I tried playing around with the USB settings but to no avail.
I tried:
USB1 - Kingston, 8G, USB3
USB2 - Sandisk, not Kingston, 16G, USB2

I tried internal header (USB3), rear USB2.
I tried USB3.0 support on and off, EHXI, XHCI on and off and various combinations with the 2 sticks.
The sticks are visible in Bios and as boot device.

Could somebody who got it running enlighten me upon the correct combination of settings please?
Thanks

USB3 Enabled, XHCI & EHCI off listed the USB3 Stick on the internal header... not the USB2 one on the external header though.

Edit: Installed yes. Bootable no.

Could it be the BIOS is trying to boot them in a UEFI environment, instead of doing old-fashioned BIOS emulation?

Nah, UEFI is a separate boot option so i dont think it would do that for the non UEFI options.
Its booting from my USBish FreeNas Installation Media/CD just fine.

I think the issue is that its either USB3 or nothing with this board, no "Run USB in 2.0 mode" option despite the existance of 2.0 ports... Or I simply havent found the right combination:p Its taking a lot of time to test those through :/

Edit: No idea why it took me so long but installation is now working with
USB2 Stick in USB2 Slot, and USB3/XHCI/EHCI off.
Sounds perfectly logical.
Now to find out whether this prevents this as well:

Edit 3 - Solved - Turn off all USB3/ehci/xhci settings in Bios, use the USB2 Ports and use a magic USB stick.
Old USB2 Sandisk Cruzer 2 (USB2) - no go
New Kingston Data Traveller 8GB (USB3) in that USB2 port - works.

The world of easy technology...
