You're right, but that sentence is misleading when taken out of context. It's the only good SAS3 controller.

I've got 8 disks hooked up to the LSI 3008 on my X10SRH-cF board, and have not run into any issues yet.

Well, I think it's still not as 100% smooth sailing as a 2008. Call it 98%? Which is pretty good.

I would've gone with the 3008, but it is legitimately a little bit less well tested/experienced.

I've got 8 disks hooked up to the LSI 3008 on my X10SRH-cF board, and have not run into any issues yet.

Good to know for the next build. On the bright side, the X11SSM-F is treating me nicely so far. Looks to be a little more than halfway through the HDD burn in tests.
