Hello,

I need some helping hand on deciding which RAM to grab for my system.
As MB I have decided that https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/C236_C232/X11SSM-F.cfm suits my needs with an I3-6300.

On the RAM side I do not have the knowhow to understand which ram is needed for maximum ZFS safety and what the difference is. I think I need 1.2V UDIMM ECC
So here are 2 links to possible contenders:
In the description with the Kingston 2 lines are added:
· Write CRC is supported at all speed grades
· CA parity (Command/Address Parity) mode is supported

Is this a feature I need? Or is the Hynix sufficient.

Update 01: The Hynix wont be ideal ... it is 64 bit instead of the required 72 bit

Thank you for the aid.

Thanks for the link... but none of these are for sale in my country. The description of the recommended RAM matches the Hynix RAM I linked, do that is a partly confirmation although it does not explain the 2 extra info lines.
· Write CRC is supported at all speed grades
· CA parity (Command/Address Parity) mode is supported

Never seen anyone ask about this in the forum.. I don't think it is something to worry about.

If it's listed on the QVL and you can find it for a decent price then buy it.
