Hi guys,

I'm new to the FreeNAS community, but I decided to build my own system using a Supermicro X11SSM-F board with an Intel Pentium G4560 for datastorage. I checked the Supermicro Homepage for supported RAM and decided to go for a Samsung 16Gb M391A2K43BB1-CPB stick which is mentioned there. However, when booting the system the board produces the error memory beeps (5x short, 1x long). When connection a monitor following error is shown:
0x0C=mrcMiscTrainingError

I already tried all four memory slots, but that didn't help. I also searched the web for a while, but could find any useful information. Does anybody of you have an idea what could be the problem?

Thanks!

Hey, weird. Have you checked in the motherboard documentation for the exact meaning of this sequence of beeps ?
The motherboard, CPU and RAM should be perfectly compatible. It worries me a bit cause I was thinking about a similar configuration.

Check for bent pins on the CPU socket, too.
