Glusterfs

Hello,

i was wondering what the plans are regarding adding glusterfs to freenas.

i have spoke with the glusterfs guys and they are adding support for a port for freebsd.

as far as i know freenas is based upon freebsd so this would mean it is possible for you guys to add glusterfs to freenas right?

I'd tend to think that it was "attempted" and written of as "not gonna happen in FreeNAS". Sounds like the FreeBSD port is probably crap since it can't find its own libraries.

I tried to patch it, the ports pkg-files were not keeping up to an update. Thus, it was not even building.

However, after I did get it to somewhat build, it did not work as expected, will try to get it to work some time in the near future.
