I’ve had a few boards with Realtek gigabit ethernet over time and in the limited use for home and small business they get absolutely fine.

With TrueNas? Server use is different from normal Desktop usage.
Either the thing works or not, and we are telling you it doesn't with TN; your choice to listen or go your way, just don't expect extensive support here in case of issues.

Btw I already replied here you might not typed your reply if the mod hadn’t been disrespectful and refused to approve my reply.

The user friendly support on this thread has been provided by myself, when you search for this particular issue with RTL8156b and truenas core it bounces you to this thread. A Thankyou would be welcome after my first post here.

Yeah well, people don't sit around waiting for stuff to approve. It's unfortunate, but for a variety of reasons new users must be subject to additional manual review until they get promoted out of the proverbial kiddie pool. It can take up to a few hours, depending on who shows up when. Nobody's refusing to approve anything.

Now, a general friendly reminder to everyone that the correct course of action when faced with behavior you deem inappropriate is to use the report function (or directly contact an admin, I guess, but that doesn't scale).
