I just did a update from 9.10 to 11.2 but the system would not boot. It looks like I am getting the below error when it tries to start. I am booting from a USB drive.

gptzfsboot: error 32 lba 1
error 1 lba 1654253898819624
failed to clear pad2 area of primary vdev
failed to read pad2 area of primary vdev
ZFS: i/o error - all block copies unavailable
ZFS: pool Media is not supported
gptzfsboot: failed to mount default pool media

FreeBSD/x86 boot
Default: Media:
boot:

Any information on what this error means and possible fixes is appreaciated.

Likely a dead usb drive. Reinstall and upload a saved copy of your config, assuming of course you do have a copy of your config saved.

I have reinstalled 9.10.U6 on a different USB drive. I then reloaded my config and it booted fine. I have then tried updating to 11.2 stable again. The update downloaded and installed, and upon reboot I have received the above error again. Any other ideas of what could be causing this? If there are any logs or something that I can provide to help let me know.

Having to reinstall and reload my config has erased all my permissions and security settings. Anyway to get these back?

So it looks like the issue is not only during the update from 9.10.U6 to 11.2 stable. If I try a fresh install of 11.2 I also receive the same error. Any help is appreciated.
