Hello,
I have no experience with Unix (nor FreeBSD). I have managed toi turn an old PC into a FreeNAS. I published some SMB shared datasets onto public IP. I have 3 WIn10 PCs. One of them stucked in version 1909 maps the shares OK. The other 2 are updated to 22h2 latest previews can ping/web the FreeNAS, but cannot connect/map the shares! From the successful PC i managed to see that mapped shares run on SMB 3.1.1, so the FreeNAS (ver. 11.3-u2) should not be the culprit.
Is there a solution to this? I need to map the shares to all the other PCs. The PC running the NAS is obsolete Pentium4 with 4Gb (DDR2) RAM and storage is a 1Tb HDD. Do I need to upgrade to TrueNAS 12.x? IS upgrading safe considering the hardware obsolence?
Thanks in advance.
