I use e-350 and have no complaints. If you haven't already bought the ram grab 2x8GB. I think it's will be a worthy upgrade.

You can't.
The ASUS E35M1-M PRO board doesn't support 8GB module, maximum is 4GB. 2x4GB is the maximum possible memory for this board.

From the manual:
You may install 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, AND 4GB unbuffered non-ECC DDR3 DIMMs into the DIMM sockets.

Or can you?
Well it's working, I have tested 16GB ram on 2 different e-350 motherboards and both have worked. Guess I defied the specs Asus blindly put on their site, lol
YMMV.

I've personally tested 2 different brands of 2x8GB DDR3 ram on this motherboard and both worked flawlessly. The ASUS information for this motherboard is incorrect, it supports 2x8GB.

Can you confirm that the motherboard + OS really recognize 16GB memory?
It's one thing to be able to use 2x8GB module, but another to have the system/OS recognize the full 16GB.

Thanks in advance for the confirmation!

Hi.

Could you please tell us which RAM brand/model you tested for 16GB?

Thanks
