I have a dual socket Supermicro X9 mother board...

I purchased a copper heat pipe fan first from amazon and its a little bigger than I wanted.
And I also purchased a supermicro fan that is a better fit....

I paid $24.00 for the bigger fan and amazon wants $9 for me to send it back...

So I am wondering if I use both fans on the two sockets if I'll have any issues....

Im providing a picture of each fan and how they look in the case...
I can swap the fans if it will work better....

Or should I just buy another small heatsink.

Thanks

Dave

Well, they do look odd together, don't they?

But I can't think of any reason why using these two fans won't work.

Lol. I agree it's odd. Just hated to waste money if it would work. I'll give it a go and watch the temps...

I'll probably put the bigger one on the right so it blows toward the smaller one and out the back...
Thanks.

Looks like a pain to mount both of them.

The pic didn't come out that great.. The little one is pretty easy.

The bigger one will take a little more time but wont be to bad.. Good thing is, once its installed its there for a long time...
