Adding Kernel Module Driver

Is there an easy way to add a driver to FreeNAS 9.3?

I have a UPS that isn't being recognised correctly because the driver isn't installed. I think it needs the ucycom module and I think this might need the VID/PID of my UPS added to it.

Could it be done by copying ucycom.ko to the right place and setting a tunable to start it?

Is there a way to bind a driver to a device manually without adding VID/PID to the source so I could test modules easily?

Not really, and in any case, you'd lose it every time you updated the system.

Your best bet may be to make a feature request.

You could do a test on a FreeBSD 9.3 system. If it works, make a feature request at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.
