Hi,
I am planning to upgrade the size of the hard drives in my primary storage pool. Currently I have (4) 2TB drives in a RAIDZ1 setup that I would like to upgrade to (4) 4TB drives.
The 4 drives occupy all 4 drive bays in my server, so I have no empty bays. I'm wondering if I can swap in a new 4TB drive on bay 1, wait for the resilvering process to complete, then do the same with the next and so on. Is it that simple or am I missing something?
Has anyone done this kind of in-place upgrade on a RAIDZ1 with success?
Thank you in advance.
