Hello there,
I have a Dell H310 raid adapter that I want to use for a RAID1 array (two Intel DC S3700 SSDs) and would like to update its IR firmware to the latest version. Does anyone have any suggestions or resources on how to do that? I have only been able to find "cross-flash to IT" guides and this "latest" Dell H310 firmware online. In regards to cross-flashing, are there any potential benefits or drawbacks between the Dell H310 and LSI 9211/9240 IR firmware?

On another note, I just spent the past few hours updating an LSI 9207-8i HBA to the latest IT firmware (P20). I am planning to use it in passthrough for a virtualized FreeNAS on my ESXi 6.7 whitebox. ESXi is running from a 32GB USB flash drive and my two Intel DC S3700 SSDs will be used for storing VMs. Isn't that best practice for a virtualized FreeNAS? Also, are there any differences, performance or otherwise, between using the P19 and P20 IT firmware?
