Hi,

I recently added another router (Google Wifi) to my network and moved my nas to the new router and in doing so the ip for the nas changed from 192.168.1.147 to 192.168.86.147.

Since the change I have not be able to find the plex server. the plex web UI says it can't find the server.
I have done the follow:
  • updated plex to the latest version 1.9.6.4429
  • updated freenas to FreeNAS-11.0-U4 (54848d13b)
  • updated the plex jail ip address from 192.1681.3 to 192.168.86.3
  • rebooted freenas multiple times and verified plex server plugin and jail auto restarts
  • checked that the plex server is running (service -e)
  • verified the plex server is functional, the server logs in /var/db/plexdata/Logs indicates it's actually scans files as I have previously schedule
Any pointers on what else I can do? I think it has to do with how my account is associated with the server but I'm not sure what there.

Thanks in advance.

Change the nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf in your plex jail to match your new gateway.
