Outside of TrueNAS Core, I can only find the recommendation to upgrade the host OS (FreeBSD) before upgrading a jail; regardless of Major or Minor version upgrades to the jail.

Jails improve on the concept of the traditional chroot environment in several ways
(Emphasis mine.)FreeBSD Docs said:To upgrade the jail to a new major or minor version, first upgrade the host system as described in “Performing Major and Minor Version Upgrades”. Once the host has been upgraded and rebooted, the jail can then be upgraded.
Why would the official documentation instruct you to first upgrade the host system before upgrading the jails (regardless of Major or Minor version iteration)?
