TrueNAS 13.0-U5.1 is Now Available

We are pleased to release TrueNAS 13.0-U5.1!

This is a hotpatch release to fix an NVDIMM alerting issue found with certain TrueNAS Enterprise platforms and a fix for crashes related to the recycle bin in SMB home shares.

I rebooted the server, and the third update attempt succeeded. It might have been useful if the error dialog could be more descriptive.

Cool! Patch deployed quickly and effortlessly. It even brought my nfs mount back. I thought this would be more disruptive, but it was simple. I don't think this patch fixes any issues for my case, but I wanted to try it for giggles. Thanks!

Truenas 13 U5.1 shuts down without any reason or schedule.
In the log-file I can see a normal shutdown.
First I though that there might be a temperature-problem, but that's all fine.
I went back to U4 and I don't have any shutdowns anymore.

TrueNAS simply shutting down, gracefully, no idea why, event log?

I got in the mood to do some TrueNAS Core to TrueNAS Scale testing. My test machine worked fine for 2 or 3 hours, I even found a small bug in the upgrade process from CORE to SCALE to log, great! However my machine shut down, gracefully. I thought nothing of it, it's continued to do that now...

Basically, if you have a browser tab open from a visit to the "reboot" page of the GUI, or if you have it in your browser history and click it (to login to the GUI), then it will reboot your server without even prompting you.

Cool, huh? It makes rebooting super convenient!

If I visit https:///ui/others/reboot It will initiate a reboot of my NAS even though I never actually hit the button, as long as you are authenticated I was busy copying data to my new NAS, and the reboot page was in my history quite a lot as I've been tweaking some things. I closed the UI...
