Soon 21.06BETA will release and TrueCharts is ready for you!

We spend a long time polishing and perfecting our Apps, while completely reworking our most inner workings. This means we have a completely new GUI layout, which exposes as many features available with Kubernetes/Helm as possible.

But we didn’t forget the novices!
We also wend over every single app and have ensured every App should be as completely functional as possible with just the default settings.

Hello
I'm having some problems when trying to add catalogs in the GUI.
After adding https://github.com/truecharts/truecharts in the repository section and "master" at Branch. I click save and get this error:

[Errno 20] Not a directory: '/tmp/ix-applications/validate_catalogs/github_com_truecharts_truecharts_master/tools/values-change.sh'

What am I doing wrong?
Version is TrueNAS-SCALE-21.06-BETA.1

Any help appreciated.

Please follow the installation instructions on our website.
That URL is not the one from the website and hence would not work. You are using an url from 3 months ago that has since been changed 2-3 times.

Please also be aware that our support channels are (generally) github discussings, email and discord. As we try to keep track of issues which becomes hard using the TrueNAS Forums.

I wanted to post here as well to increase the chance that you'll take a moment to look.

I'm sorry for going off on you earlier about your comment in that thread. I took out some frustrations I felt from another user on a different site on you inappropriately and wanted to publicly apologize for it.

I respect TrueCharts and the work you put into making TrueNAS a better environment.

Moving on towards TrueNAS SCALE 21.08 BETA

Today we've pushed a last series of App updates and branched-off our TrueNAS SCALE 21.06 BETA release.
This means we started, today onwards, only supporting TrueNAS SCALE 21.08 BETA. We also will not accept bugreports for TrueNAS SCALE 21.06 BETA anymore.

About 36 hours ago we got a report that an update broke the SCALE Apps UI
About 20 hours ago we found the issue, issued a release which fixed the issue and
About 19 hours ago we also posted steps to repair the broken interface on our Discord.

Database Issues and reinstall advisory for Gitea

Sadly enough, while moving to a new project structure, we stumbled on a severe bug with our postgresql implementation which, if not fixed, might lead to dataloss for our users.
We've been able to mostly mitigate the issue, however this has some important consequences:
1. Gitea will need to be reinstalled from scratch
2. Some Apps might throw an error during updating, this can safely be ignored
3. After 25-10-2021, users might need to first install the last version of the previous Master...

We're glad to announce we've completed our work for TrueNAS SCALE RC1.
Last month we spend considerable time making it even easier of creators of Helm Charts to port their work to TrueNAS SCALE and, to put the cherry on top, we've ported a whole lot of new Apps for you

After a few years Freenas/Truenas Core i changed to Truenas Scale and tried truecharts apps. I already tried apps from the official catalog with success , but there is a problem with truecharts apps.

I tried the apps airdcpp-webclient and doublecommander, but since hours the status is "deploying".

How I can I see what the problem is?

Can somebody help me?

First steps into new common and freeing up some time

With the first 222 Apps/Charts ported to the new common, requiring an annoying reinstall on TrueNAS SCALE for those Apps, we're well under way with our big project revision.

Most of the big bugs, thank you for the reporters of those!, are solved by now and we're focussing on finish that work off later this month with a part 2.

After dropping TrueTool, use HeavyScript instead, we're also working on freeing up some more of our project time to focus on cool new features. One of the decision...
