okay so, bit of a truenas noob. first time trying it

i am trying to install truenas version 12.0-u3.1 on my new-to-me machine but am not getting past the initial installer screen
it's giving me a few errors and then just reboots
cant find openzfs
cant find /etc/hostid
cant find /boot/entropy
(also in the included picure)
loaded the iso on a almost new usb with rufus and balenaetcher
checked the usb for bad sectors with rufus and came out clean
i feel like i need to configure the bios, but don't realy know what
did get another boot error before, but had to set the csm boot option filter to uefi and legacy. but now it's giving me these errors. one down 3 to go

my pc:
mobo: Asus ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS (latest bios)
cpu's: e5-2678 v3
memory: 4x32gb of 2500mhz ecc ram
psu: 1000w hx corsair
some air coolers (trying to suppress my watercooling itch for now)
sas controller: IBM M1115 SAS Controller | LSI 9223-8i | 9211-8i
sas expander: HP HPE 3G SAS EXPANDER CARD Kit
boot drive: 2x kingston a400 120gb ssd's in raid 1 on the mobo's chipset raid
storage drives: 18x Seagate ST4000NM0023, do have 2 extra in case some fail

all the hardware is getting detected

please ask if i'm missing something,
or tell me if i'm just stupid

don't use your motherboards raid features at all .. you can mirror your boot drive if you want in TrueNAS once it's installed. Let TrueNAS handle all the raid stuff

hmm okay, alway's thought to first make raid then install things on it
but could that also give me these errors? installer has plenty of drives to chose from
