I just set up my new FreeNAS 8 server and am having trouble getting globalSAN iSCSI initiator v4.1 in Mac OS X Lion to recognize my FreeNAS 8 target. I believe I've set up my target correctly in FreeNAS.

  1. I changed my iSCSI base name to iqn.2011-03.local.freenas.
  2. I changed the Discovery Auth Method to None.
  3. I created a target name with Auth Method=None.
  4. I created an Authorized Initiator for ALL Networks.
  5. And I created a Portal on 0.0.0.0:3260 to listen on all networks.
  6. Also, iSCSI service is turned on ;)

When trying to connect to the target globalSAN gives me the error: "Code E3FF8203. The requested iSCSI Target Name does not exist at specified address". Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, you need Version 5, which you have to pay for. The older versions aren't Lion compatible.
