Hello!
Maybe you have tried to connect with GlobalSAN to your fresh installed FreeNAS 9.3 and had no success? There is a simple solution. Because of the new kernel based iscsi in 9.3, gSAN does not discover any targets on your box.
Step 1:
Setup iSCSI as usual and do NOT use any authentication.
Step 2:
Add target (NOT Portal/Group) in gSAN configuration pane. Example Target-Name: iqn.2014-12.com.example.freenas:test
Step 3:
Add a connection to that target and enter the IP number of your FreeNAS box.
Step 4:
Click "connect" and be happy!
Hope it works for you as it did for me.
