ls -l there will probably give enough information. I primarily need to see the posix mode and owner. FYI, shell supports tab-completion so you can type getfacl and space and then hit tab twice to see available options. Once you do that you can type the first letter of the file and hit tab, and the rest should autocomplete (unless there is more than one option - in this case, press tab twice to see what the options are).

phew this is what I got with the ls -l comand

-rwxrwxrwx 1 csearle csearle 0 Apr 10 23:37 .apple
drwxr-xr-x 2 root csearle 9 Jun 24 18:38 .AppleDB
-rw-r--r-- 1 admin csearle 6148 Jun 22 21:19 .DS_Store
drwxr-xr-x 3 csearle csearle 5 Apr 14 13:58 Sir3lly's MacBook Pro.purgeable.sparsebundle
drwxr-xr-x 3 csearle csearle 10 Jun 18 20:38 Sir3lly's MacBook Pro.sparsebundle
drwxr-xr-x 2 timemach timemach 10 Jun 22 21:22 timemach

and this is what I get with hitting the space and tab

.apple
.AppleDB/
.DS_Store
Sir3lly's MacBook Pro.purgeable.sparsebundle/
Sir3lly's MacBook Pro.sparsebundle/
timemach/

So from the same directory that you ran the 'ls -l' command, type:

getfacl Sir

then press the tab key. It should partially complete it to:

getfacl Sir3lly\'s\ MacBook\ Pro

then type ".sp" then tab again, then it should fill it out all the way.

googling "sparsebundle purgeable time machine" suggests the existence of the 2nd .sparsebundle with "purgeable" in the name means something went wrong. Whether it was FreeNAS or macOS's fault I dunno.

@seanm would it be better if deleted the dataset and try again?
