Hi,

I am trying to enable SSH on a vlan in FreeNAS.
The vlan is set up correctly (at least I can ping it).. but if I enable SSH on the vlan interface I cannot get to it.
If I enable SSH on a non vlan interface (same Server) - it works.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might be going wrong??

Build: FreeNAS-9.10-STABLE-201604181743 (74ef270)

Thanks

Anything in /var/log/messages when you try over the VLAN? Also, how are you enabling SSH on a per-interface basis?

I am enabling SSH per interface in the Services/SSH/ SSH Setting /advanced mode / bind Interfaces area.... then stop / start SSH... (I have also tried rebooting)

The only items of any relevance in the logs that I have been able to see are:
Apr 24 16:26:13 nas1-wgn notifier: Performing sanity check on sshd configuration.
Apr 24 16:26:13 nas1-wgn notifier: Starting sshd.

There appears to be no other warnings or errors..

Hmm, I wonder if it is supposed to work on VLAN interfaces... If yes, you seem to have found a bug, and if no, it is a bug that they appear in that screen.

Please create a bug report at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.

A vlan interface should not be any different from a physical interface for purposes of binding.
