I've done plenty of reading. I will follow the advice to drop the Marvell's.

I've bought this card on eBay IBM M1015 SAS2 SATA3 PCI-e RAID Controller Card LSI SAS9220-8i 46M0861 46M0831.
I was concerned about the delay, but I found this one in England, so I will have it next week.

In the meantime, I will switch two of the disks from the faulty Marvell to Intel ports.

Can I just delete the L2ARC vdev to free on sata port on the intel controller ?

PS: Is that the right cable ? : http://www.amazon.fr/Startech-com-C..._UL160_SR160,160_&refRID=0RG7Z0E1NGBKSB2Q7823

As far as I know it seems to be a forward cable. So I must be good.

Your link seems to be for another kind of SAS plug.

Thanks. I've removed the L2ARC SSD, which seems useless anyway.
Now I have only two disks on the faulty Marvell controller, the other two are plugged to Intel's.

So I'm ready to wait for my new controller board.

Here's some updates :

No errors so far with only 2 HDD connected to Marvell's 9230, and I'm still mass copying data.

For those who wants to update the Marvell 9230, the non-broken link is here : http://www.asrockrack.com/support/faq.asp
