Being new to free and wanting to use rsync to move folders to Synology. I spent over 20 hours reading all the many articles on the web to set up ssh to accomplish it
The only reason I am posting is I was never able to make it work using the terminal in FreeNAS. I then decided to us my MacBook terminal to do the same procedures and I was able to complete the setup in about 15 minutes.
I used both of these links below so if you are having issues using the terminal in FreeNAS try a different terminal program.
