I started from a fresh TrueNAS SCALE installation and did the following:
- I created pool from 4 HDDs in RAIDZ1
- On that pool I created a dataset called Homes (SMB type)
- I created a SMB share on the Homes dataset, and enabled "Use as home share"
- I created a new user, and indeed by default it gets a home directory on /pool/dataset/username
- I go on a Windows computer, log in with the credentials of the user, and I see the home directory there, named after the user
- I try to open the folder and: permission denied. I am logged in with the username and password I entered in TrueNAS, but that does not work.
