Home share inaccessible after switching to new pool

I had to recreate the pool from scratch after moving to new set of disks, which meant new shares too, and that's where I got stuck. The home share is simply inaccessible, and I don't really know what am I doing, and need some help. I took screenshots of how things were configured on the original pool and set it like that, but it still doesn't work.
What I did was:
I created a dataset called users, and set the type to SMB.
In Sharing section I created a SMB share like so:

In the permissions I selected home as ACL preset or something like that.
My own user is set like this:

The problem is that the user folder is not being created despite what the documentation says would happen, and obviously I cannot open the homes folder from Windows.

I vaguely remember I had a pure hell with the user groups back when I was setting this up two years ago, but I completely forgot how it works, and the documentation is no use, I just don't get it.

Oh wait, that was quick.
I had to change the group for the share ACL from wheel to builtin_users.
I still don't know whether I am doing this correctly, but at least the automated backups work now.

Is it normal that an additional dataset under the users one is automatically being created?
