Just Finished my new build for home.
Created 4 datasets, 3 with quote (2 TiB*2, 4 TiB) and the last one is unlimited.
One of the dataset was configured as a private share.
Created a user on my TrueNAS with same username as my mackbook user, but with different password.
So far all was good, the weird stuff began when i tried to move files to the share, the server let me create new folder or copy something to it, but after the creation or copy finished, got permission denied to the files and folders.
After reseting permissions, reseting the share to default smb share, and changing the username i connected to the server - permissions work as expected.
can anyone tell what i did wrong to create the permissions problem in the first place?
p.s.
forgot to mention, the permissions of the dataset and share were set to owner - the username, group - the new user group.
