Hello, first time posting.
I just installed 9.3 and wanted to create a zfs pool. I was using a raid card for my previous freenas installation and just spent all night reading threads about flashing IT firmware on it but i'm afraid i bricked it. However i learned the difference between IR and IT so I'm wondering if THIS will work as the non raid sas controller required for the zfs pool. The specs list "Integrated RAID (IR):NO- RAID" does this mean it is the IT firmware?

The model is fine, as is plastered all over the forum.

However, acquiring one from China is the best way to end up with a fake card.

Well i went with 9.3 because i wanted to try working with the old card but i'll probably go with the most recent release once i get the new one. Thanks for the word of caution about china. Thats too bad
