Resize Virtualbox VHD

Could anyone direct me on how to resize the virtualbox VHD I have? When I set it up I chose dynamic and went with the stock 25gb. I thought the drive would expand itself but it is not.

Ok fair enough but maybe you could tell me how to access where the VHD is stored and I could move it from FREENAS to a windows machine where I know how to easily resize it. It stores the VM's in /home/vbox/VirtualBox VMs/Windows Server Environment/Windows Server Environment.vhd

but when i try to sftp into that home dir, it says it does not exist. I also tried via shell with no luck either. This is with the root user. Could you tell me how to gain access to that directory.

That path is relative to the root of the VirtualBox jail.
