Hello Everyone! I have been having an issue with my R430 server, TrueNas Core is the only ISO I have gotten to successfully install. Slightly off topic but may be some help, I tried installing Proxmox, Truenas Scale, and even Ubuntu Server but no luck at all. Currently I have TrueNas Core installed and working, but I want to install TrueNas Scale. Some things I have tried would include:
  • Switching between UEFI and BIOS
  • HBA mode and Raid mode
  • Different USBs
  • Different USB formats using rufus and balena
  • Checked if Virtualization was turned on, also tried turning it off but gave me virtualization error
  • Turned off secure boot
  • Turned off watchdog
I am honestly not sure what else to do. I have 2 e5-2650 v3 chips, and 32 gb of ecc ram. Below is an attached file of the output when running the installer without the quiet flag.

I see some references to installed PCIe cards blocking Linux Kernel above v3.x (which all of the failed installs would be)...

Perhaps try removing some PCIe cards until it works.
